What is Pioneer?
Pioneer is a non-rotating format in which 60-card decks are played with cards from "Return to Ravnica" onwards. It is similar in idea to Modern, but uses a newer card pool:

Every Monday at 19:00 at Animany, Remigiusplatz 1, 53111 Bonn.
Who are we? What should you know?
Our player experience varies between: "PTQ Top 8 participation" and "I thought about starting Magic two weeks ago", so it's suitable for everyone. The group has been around for many years. The weekly tournament has between 6 and 12 alternating participants, who are recruited from a group of around 18 active players. Our players are aged between 18 and "mid-40s".
You need to bring a deck, but if you don't have one you can often borrow one.

Costs and benefits
At Animany you can purchase various themed products and drinks. Participation there costs EUR 9. In addition to a drink, this also includes a booster that goes into the prize pool, which is then divided fairly among the participants. You can also bring your own drinks.
