About me

My name is Markus Beschoner, born in 1980, Magic player & collector since about 1994, with a longer break of about 2000-Theros.

When I bought my first cards, the conversation in the store went something like this: "Hi, I'd like a Magic starter deck." - "Revised or Unlimited?" - "What's the difference?" - "Revised is newer." - "Ok, then this.". Looking back, perhaps not the best decision of my life :)

I then became more active again through drafting and have been involved in organizing it from time to time for a few years now.

I also enjoy playing Commander, as I rarely have the opportunity to play my favorite format ("play with the cards you have"). Besides, I was also still until the end of 2022 L1 Judgeso I might be able to answer one or two rules questions correctly. However, since the Judge program no longer offers me any advantages for what I do, I can now only judge without an official title - but that doesn't stop me ;-) On the other hand: Who wants to stop me from calling myself a judge? I hereby appoint myself as a judge, done, please go on.

The idea for this page came about because people often ask me how to find players. Also, because the information about the draft, which was lying around on my private website due to a lack of alternatives, didn't really belong there.

This site is to be understood as a hobby and as a "service for the community". Therefore I ask for your indulgence (and message) if something is missing, wrong, outdated or otherwise not to your liking.
